We have wild life all around us. We have the squirrels, bunnies and birds who congregate in our yard to avoid the possibility of a lurking four-legged fiend that could attack them at any time from all of the rest of the surrounding yards making our yard an uber safe sanctuary since there are none of those here! Then we have all of the surrounding woodlands areas where there are deer, fox, coyotes, raccoons, turkeys, and I am sure many more. But I think best of all is the animal park/sanctuary right down the road from us. We get to drive through and see elk, geese, deer and if you're lucky Bison! Today we were lucky and got all four!!!
Plus it was just a beautiful day to be out. A fresh dusting of snow so it was mostly a white forest floor with just a few spots of brown showing through where a fallen log protruded higher than the surrounding undergrowth made for a sparkling clean and crisp backdrop to the animals and the cold but sunny day.
And then we made it a family night by watching Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which we have seen before but still love:) Of course we all have parts that we sit and cover our eyes for. Mine, as always, relates to the snake part because...I don't have to watch if I don't want to-so there! But it was still fun to snuggle up with the girls on the couch and see Harrison, hey, what can I say…I love me some Indy;P.
Now I am watching SNL as I type, hoping I will get done before 12 and since its 11:55 now, I'm wrapping it up :) Hope you all had a wonderful Saturday and stayed warm and safe in this crazy weather we're having the winter!
