the last post was dated Monday so I missed Sunday....if you want to get technical that is, if you want to know what happened, I just plain fell asleep last night!
It wasn't an overly crazy day, just exercised and had a good meal and I think the clincher was the shower after the girls went to bed that got me all warm and relaxed and sleepy!
Today I had a wonderful lunch with some very good friends who always make me laugh just when I need it...and cry sometimes too, from laughing so hard that is! In fact I do believe we either entertained or drove away customers at Bread Co today, depending on their tolerance for women who would every few minutes break out in hysterical laughter…sometimes unable to stop even! But I wouldn't have it any other way:) Even in sadness we are strong together and that is so nice to have. That and the fact that we are all slightly zany(I blame it on the kids~they turned our minds to mush I tell ya) always makes for an entertaining and wonderful time.
Then I spent some time with my Lexi and I realized just how grown up she is becoming. I mean, I know she is, I see it every day, I think I'm resisting it or something because all of the sudden I looked at her today and went, "Who is this confident, beautiful young lady and where is my little baby Lex?" and had to do a double take as she looked 17 with her hair blowing in the breeze and this Save the Planet shirt under a cute zippered sweatshirt and her "so stylin' " duck boots....or maybe it was because she just so casually dismissed my horror and chiding about the fact that she had no coat on as we ran from car to the building with a, "Whatever mom, its sunny out and warm, besides I have my sweatshirt duh!" Yeah...maybe that was what made me think she's growing up!
Anyway, I have always thought of Lexi as Lexi and Belle as Belle. The features that I have thought they have taken after me in have been more their body; long legs, elbows that hyper-extend, long skinny feet but not really facial features. But that is because they are them.....the funny thing is lately I have had sooooo many people tell me the Lexi looks like me! I think she might have similar facial expressions, after all...she learned hers by watching me ya know....but I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, maybe she looks a lot more like me than I thought! And Belle who everyone used to say looked like me, no one has said that lately....more that she's a mix of both Ed and I...but they used to say that about Lexi too...hmmmmm.....
Ok...well that's really it for the moment. They are forecasting snow and some cold this weekend so we should get nothin' but extremely frigid weather the whole time...cause that's how the Lou rolls don't ya know.
I will be snow dancing personally as I would like a nice 4-6 inches of pretty powder...that you can pack too, and temperatures in the 20s with little or no wind....that sounds like a completely reasonable snow forecast to me...and not even that demanding either........maybe if you agree you should snow dance too:D
