Well we did indeed have a snow day...in that the kids and Ed were home and there was snow on the ground outside but....it was freeeeeeezing! And as we happen to be at the top off a hill with a wide open yard...we get windswept, and by sundown the 3 inches or so we had received had been blown away across large swathes of our yard! So the girlies did not go outside and instead spent the day flitting around the house! They played, lounged, read and even did some minor cleaning of their rooms!!! Not a bad snow day all in all....just wish we would have been able to get out and really play in it...next time I will have to be much more specific in my snow dancing I guess...altho I don't quite know how one gets specific but I will try:)
Now we are just dealing with frigid temperatures and gusty winds! However...I will say I am glad! Yes, I said that, GLAD!!!! For you see...we need this, truly we do. If you think back on the past few mild winters we have had and then the horrendous summers with bugs and rampant allergens you should agree with me! This will be soooo nice, some things will actually die and their numbers will be greatly diminished-wooohooo! That is in fact a reason to jump up and down and run outside in the snow...provided you are adequately covered up that is:)
If we have school tomorrow, it will be a crazy day for me will an all night event with the girls and everything that I have to do to get all of that done too so it will be an early blog, maybe some morning news and coffee musings:)
Hope you have stayed safe and warm and continue to do so-
Blog ya later-
K
