Argggh

Ok, so I missed it again.
This is going to be more complicated than I thought!

Well, as many of you know, school was again closed yesterday due to the extremely frigid weather which also meant that our GS PJ Party was a no-go last night.  Belle was not happy, if her foot stomping protests were any indication of her tue feelings at least!  Fortunately our principal, M2, was VERY helpful in trying to get this rescheduled as quickly and easily as possible for us....maybe cause he's scared of the minions who would blast him if he didn't....but I really think its because he is a good guy and knows how much the girls love it!  However, in the long run it was probably for the best as the gym floor would have been veeeeeeeeeeery chilly, but we are working on another date for it that is asap and hopefully it will be slightly warmer on that night too!

 As for things around here...well, its still freeeeeeeeezing and the fact that our house pipes partially froze overnight Thursday didn't help either!  Fortunately only the hot water pipe froze so nothing exploded and we still have running water, which, yes, is running as I type.  But that is what you get when the constructors of your house don't think about silly minor things like the fact that the wall they put the tub and kitchen sink on is a W/NW facing wall and that on occasion it does get subzero in these parts and we do often get Alberta clippers that bring arctic blasts and wouldn't it have been nice had they put in just a little more insulation around the pipes or in that part of the house!!!!  But then again these are the same people who made all of the bedroom lightswitches attached to outlets and no overhead light wiring and because of closet placements, only one room has the opportunity for the bed to even be on an inside wall!!!!!!!  Yes, I do have issues with the folks who designed this place and should I ever meet them I can not wait to hear the reasons why they designed the things they did!  But needless to say...that has been my past 24 hours, checking to make sure the water still runs in all the faucets, cancelling things, and trying to keep the mini-mes busy!

Today I will even be braving leaving the house as we head over to N&P's(Nana & Papa) to shower later since I would prefer a touch of hot water when I do that!

As for other things in my life...I think I found a company that will work with me on a swimsuit top design!!!!!!  Now I know it is only Jan., but you know as well as I do that suddenly it will be March and spring break and I do not want to be frustrated at that point trying to shop as I have been with bras, so I am trying to get a head start on it.  It just makes me a little nervous that I can't try it on before I buy it...I know it will be sized specifically to me and that it will probably fit better than any suit I've ever had....and yet.....after years of wearing suits and trying on lots before I found one I was happy with(mind you happy...not ecstatic) I know how hard it is to be happy in a suit.  And yes some of that is just being happy with your body...which these days I am more than happy just to be getting somewhat back to the me I used to be, but...its still frightening ya know!
 But as for getting back to the old me, I wore my hair up yesterday!!!!!  YES...I said UP!!!!!!!!  I now have enough hair to pull it back and put it up in a cute little clip!!!!  Granted....the front part doesn't quite reach, but luckily it is a great length to look like artistically cut "sweeping bangs" style so that worked too!    And the best part was...as Ed said it perfectly, "Wow, all the curly is back and what's left is straight so it really looks like you again!" ~ sigh~yes, like me again, I've missed me:)  Don't get me wrong, I love the waves...well..I am trying to love them anyway, but I do agree, it was nice to just see straight hair too!

Ok...so anyhoo....off to a chilly Sat....perhaps a tournament of the Wii variety is in order for the afternoon to stay warm and happy on all fronts:)
