Again

So..maybe I should rethink how I am going to tackle this daily blogging. You see, its not like I don't have ideas, I do. I even compose entire blogs in my head when something strikes me...but...that's the problem. That usually happens when I am not near a computer and I don't get it down. Maybe I will have to bring paper and pen to write things down-lol-that seems wrong! I suppose I could just take my recorder but that makes me feel kind of silly too as it is almost always when I am in the car or otherwise indisposed and that wouldn't work and possibly be a safety hazard even! So I am going to have to think on this a bit.


Anyway, Sat was a day of change! B is getting a new bed!!! It is a loft bed with a shelf underneath that will hold her keyboard and other musical tools and then she can have her desk back-yay! SO we spent most of the day cleaning. First the girls did a wonderful job of sorting into donate, recycle, pitch and save piles to clear out her closet and the 'pit of despair' (as we dubbed her book nook corner which became a catch-all spot) so that we could store other things from under her bed and move things to get ready for the new loft! It was a nice project which now we have to finish by actually doing the bed part. Did I mention that in this process we also decided to expand the basement computer/work area to include their desks and free up space in their rooms?...ummm yeah...we never do just one thing, it is always an intricately woven tapestry:) but it works! ) So we embarked on getting her bed today.

It was an interesting journey, complete with borrowing of a van (thanks mom and dad:) ), rearranging of seats in a parking lot and minor mishaps with the hardware. We did however get it put together and it is stable and secure-woohoo! Belle is actually sleeping in it as I type! And of course she loves it, although she is already talking curtains so she can make it a very private creation station area underneath:) So now she is so very happy and with a few tweaks in furniture like a reading chair for the corner and a tall lamp for behind that, it is lookin' good....next up Lexi's!

She does not want a loft bed and so instead we will just remove her desk too and then she will have a reading nook and bad and dresser and bookcases and that is all...and she seems pretty happy wit tah for right now too so I think we're on track!

Well...at least as far as the girls' rooms are concerned, ours is a whole different story! Plus I still have to finish the Living Room...and by that I mean hang up paintings and pictures and ...that could take eons to choose and place! We did let the girls have free reign back in the hallway with their artwork and it is pretty cool, maybe I will have to have an all art post :)
