Now if you know me at all you might have guessed that I have an affinity for the powdery white stuff we call snow:) AND we are actually getting some!!!!! I know there are many people out there who live elsewhere who are already sick of snow and the season has just begun, but not here and not me. We got some snow over the holiday where we were at and it was wonderful to have that beautiful white blanket covering for Christmas and then we came home.....sigh..nuthin', nada, zip, zilch, zero!
But as of right now there is about an inch on the ground and it is still falling and the storm extends all the way back to Colorado so woooohooooooo! They are saying 4-6 inches and school has already been cancelled! I am just as excited for the peace it brings. To me that is what snow does. It quiets, calms, stills things. It cleanses the landscape and makes it pristine again after the dull, rough edges of late fall and early winter browns and where no chemicals touch it, the snow stays pure for as long as it is around.
So tonight I wish you all peace and safety in the snows out there, tonight and whenever they may happen this winter season, and that you remember and enjoy the peace it brings.
